If you follow me on social media you know how much I LOVED this wedding and how excited I’ve been to share it with you guys! We’ve been holding off on this post until the feature in Martha’s Vineyard Island Wedding magazine was published, and now that it’s officially on stands (YAY!) I couldn’t wait any longer.
Molly & Brendan had the most amazing fourth of July wedding weekend on Martha’s Vineyard. I met up with everyone for a clambake the day before (food, games, beach, floating animals, bouncy house… um, yes please) and it was actually my first time meeting M&B. We quickly hit it off and since then these guys have become two of my favorite people ever. It still blows my mind that I have a job that allows me to create such incredible friendships while doing what I love, I am the luckiest. The wedding day was flawless, truly the most beautiful MV summer weather. I spent the morning getting ready with the girls, popping champagne and dancing around the room until it was time to head to the ceremony at the Federated Church (my fav church on the island - gimme all that white, bright light!!!). After the ceremony Molly surprised everyone with Edgartown’s first ever “third of July” parade, and we paraded through the streets alongside a band all the way back to the reception. SO fun.
During the cocktail hour guests relaxed with drinks by the raw bar, played lawn games, and admired the gorgeous tent set up. The reception was full of dancing, laughing, and so much champagne. At one point the boys all changed into their Chubbies, throwing Molly into the air, I was climbing on top of tables having champagne sprayed all over me (WHILE singing, dancing, laughing...) I mean I don’t think I’ve had that much fun at a party, ever. From the start these guys felt more like friends than clients, always making sure I was being fed, had a drink in my hand, having fun, honestly treating me like a guest more than a vendor. It’s weddings like this that make my job a dream come true. Pretty sure I cried saying bye to Mol the next day at brunch... M&B you know how much I love both of you! Cannot wait to see you soon. Give Tessie & Eleanor a kiss from me!!!
