"If a country could be a poem, it would be Iceland." - Lisen Stibeck
My trip to Iceland last week was truly magical. I’ve dreamed of exploring this country my entire life and I'm beyond grateful that I was given the chance to see so much of what it has to offer. Special thanks to Fridthjofur Johnson for helping me plan this trip and for all of his hospitality. If anyone is planning a trip to Iceland please reach out! I would love to share my itinerary/plans/information/stories with you. Every part of Iceland left me speechless, hopefully my photo’s do it justice.
The trip started in Reykjavik and we spent our first full day exploring the city. Day two was a road trip around Snæfellsnes. This was the only day of the entire week with bad weather so unfortunately we didn’t get the views we were hoping for but hey - one bad day? I’ll take it. From there we drove to Þingvellir and saw the Golden Circle; Gullfoss and Geysir blew my mind. The next morning we left Þingvellir to drive all the way down the coast to Jökulsárlón. Making stops at Skaftafell , Kirkjubæjarklaustur, Vík, Dyrhólaey, Seljalandsfoss, Skógarfoss, and at every other waterfall/river/mountain/field that caught my eye (which was a lot as I'm sure you can imagine). We were able to see so much of Iceland and after years of dreaming of this trip I was not at all disappointed. The country is just as breathtaking as I had imagined. I can’t wait to get back to explore the rest of what Iceland has to offer. Until then - enjoy the pics! For more check out my Instagram account.
Thank you Fiffi!
